Marcia E. Anderson is a Maryland attorney. In addition to being admitted to practice in the Court of Appeals of Maryland, Ms. Anderson is admitted and qualified as an Attorney and Counsellor of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Ms. Anderson is a member of the Christian Legal Society, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Ms. Anderson, who is married with three children, was an "Army wife" for 17 years, during which time she received her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Maryland University College, and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law. She and her family belong to the South Columbia Baptist Church in Columbia, Maryland. Ms. Anderson is a Christian lawyer, lifelong runner, and horse lover. She and her family (both two- and four-legged), including her Off-the-Track-Thouroughbred, Absolutely Sweet, aka "Stelle," live on August Ridge Farm.
Ms. Anderson began working for the Social Security Administration as a Presidential Management Intern (Fellow) in August of 1999. She then served as an attorney in the Office of the General Counsel for the Social Security Administration from July 2000 through February 2008. She opened her law practice in August of 2008.
